Keeping pumps running
We build, upgrade and maintain pump control panels for bores, booster stations and dewatering systems. Between services we test motors, check protection settings and VSD programming, and pick up faults before they stop the water.
When a site needs something the standard setup doesn't have, we modify control panels and VSD setups in our workshop so they arrive ready to install.
Workshop to site
Control panels are built and tested in our Welshpool workshop. Our team then installs on site: cabling, connection, VSD setup and commissioning, with MEC responsible from start to finish.
Fast response
When a pump stops, so does the water. We prioritise breakdowns, fault-finding and motor testing to get pumps back online quickly.
Pump electrical FAQs
Can you add a VSD or soft starter to an existing pump?
Yes. We install, set up and program VSDs/VFDs and soft starters, and upgrade existing pump control panels to suit.
Can you run power out to a remote bore?
Yes. We install the underground cabling and conduit to remote bores, plus the pump control and protection at the bore itself.
Do you handle pump breakdowns?
Yes. We fault-find, test motors and carry out breakdown repairs. Pumps and VSDs can also go onto a scheduled maintenance plan so faults are picked up early.
